Before you start reading this post, we’d like to give you a little disclaimer. This is not a promotional blog nor an informative one. This is to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts that Shopify has made in the eCommerce industry and the opportunities it has presented us and our other app partners.
Flits has been a proud member of the Shopify community since 2016. Our app has been continually growing ever since we launched in the Shopify store – from day 0 to now. We are nothing but grateful to Shopify for providing a million other software developers and us with a platform to showcase our talent and earn our livelihood.
The Shopify ecosystem has allowed businesses to interact and work with each other. Be it software developers, merchants, content writers, digital marketers, graphic designers, there is ample scope for them to work with each other. One of one interaction with other members of the community also adds to the learning curve. It sure has for us!
We use the word ‘Ecosystem’ while referring to Shopify because many different players can co-exist, co-operate and help each other grow. This is the exact reason why so many people love Shopify and why so many of us recommend joining it to others.
Shopify has shown exemplary support to mom and pop stores, brick and mortar stores and other businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Shopify rolled out many offers, facilities, tools and financial support to help the businesses survive. For instance, their back to business toolkit.
Shopify’s commitment is to make commerce better for everyone and support entrepreneurs in everything Shopify does.
Shopify didn’t just focus on the online aspect of commerce but also made sure that the physical stores could use Shopify to keep their business up and running. They introduced local pick-ups, contactless checkouts, see what’s in store, delivery and so much more. Shopify is also helping merchants cater their financial needs via credit facilities and Shopify balance.
If you attended Shopify re-unite 2020, at the end of the session, we heard a phone call of a Shopify merchant to Shopify retail support. The merchant was so grateful to Shopify for saving her farm that she almost broke into tears. This is the level of impact of Shopify. You can hear the audio recording here. (Skip to 1:30:25).
The caller mentioned that she was always sceptical of going online because building a website is hard, but Shopify made it easy. This is the exact reason why Shopify is preferred by so many entrepreneurs all over the world. Setting up a Shopify store is an effortless process; one blogger even mentions that setting up a store took only 19 minutes.
Shopify merchants can solely focus on their business while leaving everything else to Shopify experts and Shopify Apps. This gives various SaaS platforms an opportunity to provide automation and other services to merchants.
Famous mathematician Alfred North Whitehead once said:
No one who achieves success does so without acknowledging the help of others.
And so, here we are.
We owe the hardworking community a great debt of gratitude. The level of competence, skill, talent and support on this platform has kept us on our toes. This is what forces us to strive for excellence. This is what makes us better each day. And this is what we are Thankful for.
So once again,
THANK YOU SHOPIFY!
We look forward to many more years of working with you as our guiding light, teaching us the ‘customers before us’ mantra and many more years of learning from all the partners you have introduced us to.
